Whatcha readin?

Next week is going to be the first moment I have had in a really really long time that I will be able to read something non-school related (at least without feeling totally guilty). I want to pick wisely. What is the best book you have read in the last year?

Try The Help, by Katherine Stockett. Or go onto my goodreads page. Love you!

Call Talitha or Brittany. Problem solved.
Ha. I wish I read, too.

I read Every Patient--thanks for recommending it to me!

I just picked up "Still Alice" on another recommendation...it is supposed to be really touching.

If you'd just like some brain candy, the food mystery series from Josie Kilpack is really fun...the first in the series is Lemon Tart and you can get them at Deseret Book.

I'll think some more and let you know!!

Matt and I loved The Hunger Games and its sequel, Catching Fire, by Suzanne Collins. The plot is more riveting than the writing for sure, and I'm going to admit that it's adolescent fiction, but still high-quality stuff.

Also, have you read East by Edith Pattou? Now there is a beautifully written book if you don't mind a little fantasy in your life.

One of my favorite books is Mitten Strings for God (Reflections for Mothers in a Hurry) By Katrina Kennison. She writes about raising her boys in the most beautiful way. Then there is the sequel called, The Gift of an Ordinary Day which is also awesome about when her boys go to high school. It's soooo good. Non-Fiction. I have learned so much about parenting from her. You can get the first on on amazon for like a dollar.

This is a sure way to get a lot of responses : )And congratulations on finishing up. You're amazing.

"Amsterdam", Ian McEwan is short, humorous, kind of dark humor. I like it.

David Sedaris - "When you are engulfed in flames" or "Me Talk Pretty One Day." Short stories/personal essays, very funny. Kind of hm, not Sunday reading.

Enjoy your time off whatever you decide to do! (I'd sleep as much as possible, but that's just me).
